I printed a 2 page document w/ 'Pages 09' but want to delete the 2nd page only. In the thumbnail when I click on 2nd page the yellow highlights BOTH pages. When I click on DELETE it asks "are you sure you want to delete pages 1 & 2 . . cancel or delete? I can remove the type on page 2 BUT then I'm still left with a Blank page! What's up?

Pages doesn't "see" a page as you & I do. Pages sees logical pages, separated by section breaks, rather than physical pages. You can see this by showing thumbnails, View > Show Page Thumbnails, & then clicking on a page thumbnail. The yellow border around groups of pages shows the logical page. You need to insert section breaks before & after the physical pages to separate them.
Try showing invisibles & then putting the cursor after the last character on page 1 & then insert the section break. Now you can select the second page in the thumbnail pane, press delete & you should get the dialog as in my screenshot.
Thank you and I did that. But each time I delete an "inserted section break page" , my Original Page 1, is moved up to the last page to be deleted . Then it says, 'are you sure you want to delete page 1? this will remove all content from your document and leave an empty page'. I don't want a Blank page.
Pages-want to delete 2nd page of 2 page document-will only allow deleting both pages.
