AirDrop not showing up on my MacBook Pro

I was trying to share a file from my iMac to my MacBook Pro (both are located right next to each other, and both are running OSX Lion), but I wasn't able to find the AirDrop icon on my MacBook Pro. Does anyone know where I can add it back to the Finder window? Thanks!

Airdrop only works on recent generation macs. Here is the list

MacBook Pro (Late 2008 or newer)*

MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)

MacBook (Late 2008 or newer)*

iMac (Early 2009 or newer)

Mac Mini (Mid 2010 or newer)

Mac Pro (Early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or Mid 2010)

* The MacBook Pro (17-Inch Late 2008) and the white MacBook (Late 2008) do not support AirDrop.

"In iOS 7, Apple has brought a version of AirDrop to all iPhone 5 models, the fourth-generation iPad, the iPad mini, and fifth-generation iPod touch models. You also need an iCloud account to use Contacts mode (see below). Assuming you meet those requirements, you’ll be able to use AirDrop to share data with people nearby whose devices also fit the bill."

Got the above from MacWorld. AirDrop is not available on either of our 4S phones and Gen 2/3 iPads with iOS7. Bummer. There is no icon in the Control Center wifi on/off/deleted/etc. No workie, G I.
