Connecting Sony DVD Player with wireless to Airport Network

I just bought a Sont DVD Player (BX58) that has built in wireless so that I can connect to my wireless network (Airport/Time Capsule) and then have access to the Internet (and hopefully, Netflix). But it's not as easy as I hoped it would be. When auto setup failed, I tried manual and entered my Airport network name and password and that also failed. It says to make sure the SSID and WEP/WPA information are entered correctly. I have neither. My network is WPA2 Personal.

With auto it asked me to press the WEP button on my wireless router; there is none. In reviewing Apple's documents connecting to another wireless network with Time Capsule, I found that WEP is an older less secure setting. These are the two articles I read and now I'm confused.

So, my question is, can I connect this DVD player to my Airport wireless network, and if so, how? Will my network become compromised if I allow a WEP device to join?

Thanks for any assistance in this dilemma.
