Why make the Library invisible?

This is the most annoying thing in the Lion update. I can see the point for most users, but for pro users, its just ridiculous.

As a composer, I regularly need to access the application support folder for my plugin settings, keycommands, channel strips etc. This is because I often finish projects at other studios than my project studio, and I need to take all my instruments and settings with me. Its a major hassle in anycase, so I often just take the whole of my library folder on a drive so that I can get at the things I need when I need to.

It would be ridiculous if there weren't many, simple, ways of still accessing the folder. However, you can just hold down the Option key while accessing the Go menu in the Finder. Library will appear there.
