Preview not saving Signature

Hold the image of your signature in front of the camera so it sits on the blue line. Hold it still for about 5 secs, and the image of the signature will appear in the preview window. Accept it and you are good to go!

I am having the same problem. I added 2 signatures, then deleted one and now signatures cannot be added. I only have the first signature added.

I am having a similar problem as jonesshow is having. I added one signature, then upon trying to add a second one everthing slowed way down. Including non apple applications. I had to restart Lion. Now Preview will not accept a second signature.

I had the same problem. Uninstalled Adobe Reader, re-started and it works again.

Preview was showing the same issue for me - not saving a new signature despite clicking "Accept". I quit Preview, located older versions of Adobe Reader on my system (9, 10.1.1 etc.) and deleted them leaving the latest version (10.1.2). I emptied the Trash and then launched Preview which now accepted my second signature. I did not have to uninstall Adobe Reader.

@Mr Picasso, TI had the same problem saving signatures in Preview. Your solution worked for me. I had two versions of Adobe Reader installed. I removed the older version, restarted Preview, and now I can save signatures.

I'm having this problem now, but I don't have Adobe Reader anywhere on my system. Any other ideas?

Deleting Preview.app's preferences and caches (which included those in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview) ultimately fixed the problem for me.

Preview didn't record any signatures, and did not have any old Acrobat Reader installations around. Just deleting the caches in caches ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview solved the problem for me.
