how do i get rid of auto complete

The global setting is located in System Preferences...>Language & Text>Text...

This setting does not exist in Mavericks.

I appreciate the reply, but that is not what I want pages to stop doing. When I have a table, and I go to make an entry, pages will suggest all the names that are familiar to what I am typing in. I want it to stop doing this.

In that case you should post your question in: Pages for Mac.
