after update to Lion, whenever i open Safari, it opens to the last page or tabs viewed rather than my home page. The only work around i've found is to close the browser windows before quitting. By doing that, Safari will open in homepage. If i just quit safari, it will not.

Hello:
Go to system preferences>general. Uncheck "restore windows when quitting and reopening apps."
Note that this is a global change - for Safari and everything else.

Thanks, this solution does work. But it would be nice if this preference were not universal. I like having apps like word processors resume where I left off, but I don't like it with Safari. I hope Apple will address this.
