I am working on my MBP which runs OS 10.6.2 and I was unable to use my printer from first day of it purchase. It was packed from last 11 months and today I got above link . . . and Its Miracle!!!!

My printer can now direct print from Mac OS Lion but can't print when I connect to Time Captule. Anyone got solutions ? Appreciate and thanks

I have no Time Capsule, so can't check&fix it.

AlexeyU - Pleeeeeeease patch something for LBP5200, That problem is driving me crazy and really slowed my workload (finding a free windows laptop to print with and...) these days.

Unfortunatley Canon's support is acting terrible about this problem, they Have LBP5100 and LBP5300 but there's nothing for LBP5200!!!! Thank you so much in advance!

Think I should throw away my 5200, **** Canon!!!

I can try to make 5100 -> 5200 or 5300 -> 5200 patch, but i can't check it. It's better if there will be any information about differences in 5100/5200/5300 models.

Thank you so much man. Guess 5100 is more similiar to 5200. There's not any major diffrences, 5200 is just faster, more cartridge capacity and noisier of course. 5100 just have double sided printing which 5200 dose not have, don't think any of these features has something to do with driver. I really appreciate you help mate.

Try this way:

1) Download & Install new 3.36 drivers – http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0100359005.html

2) Download & Install this patch – http://www.uzhva.com/temp/Canon_LBP5100_to_LBP5200_patcher.zip

3) Reboot

You probably will need to manually match your printer with LBP 5200 driver from drivers list.

Thanks. I did, but there's no LBP5200 in the list now. There are 3 LBP5100s but no LBP5200. I tried with those LBP5100s but no luck...
