Q: Canon LBP2900 Printer in OS X Lion

hey Alexey!!

I am not able to install LBP 2900 on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5., the above driver is only for a lower version, can i use the same for my version too...pls help...

From system prefernces --> Security--> Click on the lock--> choose option ...2----> save

Now reclick the CAPT installer

Please help. I want to run LBP2900 on my macbook. I followed the steps as given by Max Howard video on the youtube. But while adding the printer the 2900 was not on the list of drivers though 3000 was.

Hi all I've got it,finally got CANON LBP 2900B printer working on my MacBook Pro 13" running on Mavericks.

download this from canon website and install this first

After installing the CAPT ver 3.65 heres the google link which has the patch for 2900B as well as the old CAPT version.Please install the CAPT ver 3.65 and then open this zip file and unzip it and you will have the patch for 2900B so when you connect your printer you go to printers and scanners in the system preferences and add the printer and select CAPT ver 3.65 after you install the patch and then reboot it and then you will be astonished to see the printer finaly working.It really worked for me and I hope you all get it fixed.Heres the google link for the 2900B patch it just takes 16 KBs of your Hard Disk.Let me know if it worked and need help? mail me at nandeeshbasshunter@gmail.com if you are not sure how to do it

I am now having the exact same problem with LBP 2900 printer. Unfortunately, the patch is no longer available from the links. Could you possibly make them available, thanks in advanced.

Had the same problem (did not find a patch), but got help from another forum, and this worked perfekt for me even if I have Maverick:

1. Delete your printer in Printers and scanners preferences.

2. Restart computer.

3. Download and install the following driver (version 3.67 has just been released for Yosemite): http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents ... 20705.html

4. Restart computer.

5. Download and install the patch appearing at step 3 on this page: http://macdaily.me/howto/how-to-install ... mavericks/

6. Restart computer.

7. Connect the printer with USB, add the driver in Printers and scanners preferences, select the appropriate driver.

8. Enjoy the rest of the day.
