Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
hello all,
in lion, the invert finder selection option doesn't seem to work. in SL, you could hold CMD down and drag over the selected files to invert the selection. any suggestions are much appreciated.

right then, i've just accidentally discovered how to do this so, answering my own question, here it is.
in list view, select your file(s) or folder(s) that you ultimately want to deselect. from the top of the list, while holding the command key, double tap, and hold down on the last tap, the trackpad and and drag down. the files you selected in the beginning will be deselected and all the others you drag over will be selected, selection inverted.

It's not that you're the only ones missing (as in think it is lost and want it back), but you're one of the very few where it is actually missing (not there anymore). It only works in Icon View. Did it work in other views, I can't remember?

It still seems to work for me. Try restarting.
Same problem here. And i couldn't find anything else about it in the discussions.
Are we the only users missing that feature? I could use it daily, if Apple wouldn't have leaved it out for Lion.
A Restart doesn't help. I have 3 Macs, restarted daily. It never worked since they're on Lion.

But it's certainly much more awkward than the old method. (That's Apple's fault, not yours!)
