Identical problem, in addition to FaceTime now not accepting my apple ID (I have two thanks to mobile me)! VERY frustrating!

Exact same problem! flashes green and then eventually a full green screen, without affecting audio. Can only be fixed with starting a new call. Happens consistently at some point in EVERY call I make. COME ON!

Exactly the same. FaceTime on Lion flashes then green screens after a few minutes when using FaceTime with other Lion or Snow Leopard machines. Audio still operational. No problem if use Photo Booth so doesn't seem to be problem with my iMac (end 2008) camera.

Same problem here from my iPad2 running iOS5.0.1 to any iDevice and also from my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 to any device. HELP, FaceTime is now useless on both devices, only works from iMac running latest Lion.

We've been on facetime with three different people over the last week. We used 6 month old iPad 2 (no issues on our end) but they had a new iPad 2, a new MacBook Air and a 14 month old iMac running Lion. All three experienced the green screen. Shimers then goes slightly then all green. Audio still ok. Skype worked better in one case.

Be nice to get this fixed before Christmas. Any thoughts Apple? Others?

I've got the same problem on Macbooks and Iphone 4 and 4S.  Used Facetime for ages with no problem until the last couple of weeks.  Now freezing and green screen.  It would be nice if Apple admitted there was a problem. Back to Skype I guess.

Exactly the same problem on both my imac and macbook air both running with the latest version of lion. Calls received on my iphone from the same source work fine but calls to either of the computers screen freeze, flicker and then the screen goes green. The caller can still see me (and him) and sound is fine. Often face time shuts down saying it has encountered an unexpected proble,. I have tried to discuss with apple support but so far no solution.

My facetime screen started doing the same thing about 5 months ago when I upgraded to Lion. I makes the facetime connection... the screen begins to flicker green... and then goes completely green within a minute. Audio is totally fine. The green screen only occurs on my screen not the person I am facetiming. It happens on my 2008 macbook pro and 2011 macbook air.

Hey Gareth, if you recently purchased and installed lion you can call apple support within 90 days, I think. It is free. If someone finds a solution to this annoying problem, it would be greatly appreciated!

I was having a totally different issue with my microphone after upgrading to lion, which was fixed for the most part, although now my headphones come in broken up.... not sure why. Then today I was using Facetime and it went all epileptic on me. Support has been useless, other than recommending I do a reset (hold cmd-opt-shift+power for 5 seconds) then (cmd-Option-R-P on boot until 2nd chime). It did correct the microphone issue, but caused a headphone issue and this green flashing screen.
