Quicktime preferences disappeared after installing Snow Leopard

I just upgraded to Snow Leopard in anticipation of the Lion upgrade. I have the most current version of Flip 4 Mac Studio installed along with Quicktime Pro. Before the upgrade I could export an M4V to WMV from Quicktime after creating the M4V file in iMovie. Since the update, when I open an M4V file in Quicktime, the export option is gone. When I go to my System Preferences, there is no icon for Quicktime at all (although the Flip4Mac one is still there). In addition, when I open Quicktime, there is no 'Preferences' menu item, and there is no greyed-out 'Export...' option.
