I would agree 100%, if I hadn't spent the good part of a morning trying to figure out what was going on. All I wanted to do was try out a new printing paper, and I found myself involved with Linux commands I hoped wouldn't destroy my machine. But since I got absolutely no documentation with my download of Lion, (or if I did, it disappeared with the files after installation), I had no way of knowing the simple step that was just revealed to me.
Thanks for the help. And I would certainly advise everyone to do it your way, not mine. Now, will someone please write a manual with all of this good stuff.
To be honest, I really have little time to spend trying to find answers to simple questions, or for reading and writing forum threads. I never do such things except when I become so frustrated with OS's that don't do what I think they should do. Those of us who use their MAC for productive purposes would really appreciate Apple's support with some kind of documentation explaining how their beautiful new system works.
Now, I have to get back to work. Thanks Andrew and Mackenzie.
