Yahoo mail is not downloading to iPhone Mail

Me too. I have deleted the account and set it up again but still not working. Any advice would be helpful.

Just started having this same problem about a week ago, and for no reason. Didn't do any software update or sync. So any help there would be great.

I heard from another colleague that a possible fix for this might be to recover from an old sync backup. So going to try that this week.

Same thing here. in hangs in the inbox, says "Load More Messages" but refuses to push them through. I called Apple for two hours over the weekend, no help. I have the issue on an IPAD 2, IPHONE 3G, and IPOD 4G, same email refuses to download inbox messages. I also emailed yahoo several times to their mobile support, computer support, server support, and keep getting the same idiotic pre-composed email with "settings" instructions. The ******** won't even read the emails. I also read about deleting all your folders and trying it afterwards, same crap. No luck. I have Hard reset all three devices, restored, all three, clean re-installed all three delted accounts repeatedly no LUCK! Someone help apple doesn't and neither does yahoo!

By the way, I have two iphones at home with two different yahoo accounts, what is strange is this:

- I setup yahoo on my iphone, I get in the yahoo server information, and I get: don't use SSL, and port 587

- I follow the same instructions on the other iphone, I get in the yahoo server information, and I get: use SSL, and port 485 (or some number close to that)

Although I di-installed and reinstalled yahoo on both at the same time, they each keep going in a different direction as mentioned above.

My wife's iphone4 will not download her inbox messages. It will download drafts, sent, etc, but it hangs on the inbox.

I tried deleting the account and adding it, but still no joy.

Sorry guys, I know you will not like the answer I am about to give.

"The issue somehow resolved itself". I know I did a bunch of things like resetting the iphone, deleting and re-adding yahoo account from it after that. I also synched the iphone with the laptop. When I was done, it still didn't work. Somehow this morning, it started to work. Go figure!!!

I also made a change with how often to fetch data. But I don't think that really did anything.

I had the same issue on both I phone 4 and I pad. I just upgraded my yahoo email and the problem has been fixed. I had received an email from yahoo about a month ago regarding this update but I had not acted upon it till this problem started. Check your email folder or google for the update on yahoo email. Hope this works for you too.

Same issue, just started.😠 No luck deleting and recreating account.

Did you upgrade your Yahoo email to the latest version, as suggested in the post in this thread directly above yours? It is usually a good idea to read a thread before posting. It's very likely that the problem has been solved, especially if the thread is a month old.

Ive had this problem for the last few days and ive just sorted it!

Its based at the Yahoo end.

Go to your account setting and went to the pop and forwarding area and checked on the 'Pop my Yahoo Account' - Saved this and went to my phone and all my emails got pushed through!

Why this happened in the first place i have no idea, but hey - its sorted now got emails coming through.

I think Ive sorted the problem!

If you go to your Yahoo Account and go into your email settings you will see a 'Pop/Forwarding settings' in there, there is a check button for (something like) Yahoo email to be Pop'd. Check that and try again. Hopefull that will fix it. Why this is not sure, but I have had the same problem of late and this is how I got round my problem.

I'm having the same problem, my Yahoo Mail is not downloading to my iPhone 4, it looks like it's trying to download but it goes away in a flash. This just started today, no idea what's going on. I could not find the account settings mentioned above to see if that resolves the issue. Any additional help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!
