Can I save the downloaded Lion on disc ?

I have purchasd Lion using AppStore. Upgrade went fine, but for a number of reasons I wanted to do a clean install using Lion.

I found out that the download has created a separate partition on my HDD that showed up when Option+booted as Restore OS X (or somwthing like that). It seems that that partition itself did not allow me to do a full HDD erase in Disk Utility, in order to do a proper clean install. More than that, I couldn't even delete my BootCamp partition ("could not unmount disc..." type of error).

Fortunately I had an external HDD with SL on, so I booted from it, erased internal HDD using DiskUtility, downloaded Lion again, Option+booted, and chose the internal drive as the installation target.

But when the installation has started, the computer took another 20 min. to download some more stuff of the internet, before the actual installation started.

So my question is :

Where does the installation kit goes on the hard drive ? And is there any way I can save that on a DVD for later use, just as I had purchased a real disc ?

I mean...what if I need to re-install Lion and I have no internet connection ? Does that mean I can't install it at all ? For instance, now, even that "Restore..." partition does not show up anymore, and if I connect the external to which the kit is downloaded, Option+booting won't reveal that either... So how does this work ?!?

You can copy the Lion Installer App (located in applications folder) to a flash drive etc PROVIDED that you do it before you install Lion, the installer is deleted during the installation process.
