So this still seems the state of play:

For participating in Live Meeting under Lion:

Make sure that in the Java Preferences in the Advanced tab the last option on the list "Verify mixed security code (sandbox vs. trusted)" is set to "Enable - run with protections, no warnings". As found under the

link given above.

For presenting in Live Meeting under Lion:

There seems no solution yet as a certain component called "hostforjava" which is used by Live Meeting is written for PowerPC only - and therefore does not run under Lion.

I've done a lot of searching to see if there's a workaround (installing Rosetta from the Snow Leopard DVD etc.) would help - but the little that can be found so far ends in a plain "no". Seems we have to wait for Microsoft (or whover wrote the hostforjava element) to update this piece - or - someone knows a trick here.

Cheers Chris

Changing the preferences to reflect

"Verify mixed security code (sandbox vs. trusted)" is set to "Enable - run with protections, no warnings". still does not work for me. It hangs up with the following message

Contacting Live Meeting service and checking your configuration.

If you have trouble connecting to a secure meeting using Safari, please make sure you have the Apple Java 1.4.1 Update installed.
Please note that the Java VM for Mac OS X v1.4.1 (and earlier) do not support secure meetings through a proxy server.

Please wait a moment ...

This is not working for me... My Live meeting opens with a blank screen. I tried switching to Chrome from Safari but that is even worse - it wants an ealier version of Java it says. I have tried everything I can find on the forums and am stumped (and missing some meeting content being shared) Can anyone help me?

Java preference set to: Enable, hide warnings run with protections (i do not have the option of no warnings)

Safari Version 7.0 (9537.71) did not work

Chroome Version 31.0.1650.57 is not working

Java Version 7 update 45

What else???
