I have a
iMac (24-inch Mid 2007), this is the second time that I had to replace our Hard Drive. So, we went in, had a new one installed, they recovered all of my data however, when we turn off the computer and turn it back on it sits on this white screen for five mins or so and then it starts up just fine. I want to know why it is sitting ont his White screen and taking this long to start up? Also noticed they had turned one our airport mode? Any reason why that would need to be on?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
That's what they must have used to reinstall on the new drive. Probably the delay was due to that. You want to select the volume from which you normally startup like "Mac HD" or "Macintosh HD."
