WebDAV Sharing Active Directory

Elliot,

I followed that doc (HT4777) and bound the Lion Server to AD.

* We're able to query AD for user information from the LionServer and gave rights to some directory's using AD accounts.

* I can access the Lion Server directories from my PC (viaAD).

* I can move files to and from the Lion Server using my iPadusing a local Lion account.

* When I try to login to the Lion Server with Pages viaWebDAV I am putting /webdav after the server address.

I am, however, unable to authenticate my iPad with the LionServer using my AD account from Pages or iAnnotate. I must have overlookedsomething and am hoping someone can offer suggestions as to what I've missed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to bump this article since I've having exactly the same issues. So bloody irritating!

You need to do a couple of things first.

1. Make sure you are running DNS on your Lion Server. You only need an entry for your Lion server and your DC, and the rest can forward to your normal DNS servers.
2. Make sure your Lion server is a member of your AD. It needs to be joined in Directory Utility.
3. You need to enable Single Sign On and disable Kerberos. Have a look at this discussion for a full guide. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3334221?start=0&tstart=0
4. Once that is done, you follow the instructions posted by Elliot and restart your File Sharing and Web services (or just reboot).
5. You should then be able to connect via http://servername.domain.tld/webdav and once supplying a username and password, you should see a list of available shares from the server.
