If you don't want a password.

System Preferences > Accounts > Change Password

Enter the old one and leave the new ones blank..

Remove from screensaver and after sleep > Systems Prefs > Security and Privacy and uncheck require Password.

Sorry, I don''t use firevault2.. but the warning in System Prefs > Security & Privacy > FireVault seems clear enough. Password and recovery key are required if you want to access your data.

WARNING:You will need your login password or a recovery key to access your data. A recovery key is automatically generated as part of this setup. If you forget both your password and recovery key, the data will be lost.

Thanks for the star and I hope you have a great weekend too.
