Since I updated my iPod Touch with IOS 4.3.5, I cannot to Yahoo Mail. I didn't change any settings at all. It just stopped connecting with the error:

Correct...apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com
But, Mail chooses the service. I cannot edit the Incoming Mail Server. Yahoo Mail on my iPod Touch worked perfectly up until I updated IOS.
Exchange still works fine. It's just Yahoo Mail. Do we know if they changed something on their end?

I have had my iPhone for over a year and my iPad since Xmas. I have been receiving yahoo and gmail email on both with no problem until today. Now I can't retrieve yahoo email which is my primary account. It gives me error message that my user name or password is incorrect. Neither are. I've tried deleting account and then re-adding it. Sometimes the error message reads " the connection to the server 'apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com' on port 993 timed out.
I am extremely frustrated as I have been trying to fix the problem for hours. Help!
No offense but I am extremely glad to hear you started having this same issue today..it started for me too and I can only assume the issue is on there end now...wait it out..should be fixed by morning.
I started having this problem yesterday for the first time and have spent this morning trying to fix it to no avail. Still not working!
Same issue here. I've tried reinstalling a few times and have given up resolving the issue on my end until someone can come up with a fix.
That is EXACTLY what has just started happening with my new iphone! I just bought it last week and is my first Apple product! I had changed nothing at all in settings and got the user name/password error - then the server error. I was absolutely loving it compared to my old droid, and now this.....Yahoo is also my primary email and it comes in fine on my laptop.
I have had this issue for 2 weeks and can't find any fix. Just deleted my account and have spent 3 hours on phone with att but they were no help and apple store said it was not their problem. Anyone know of any updates?

Did you ever resolve this (other than by throwing away your iPhone)? It has now happened to me, and nothing the web site recommends will fix it. I tried powering off and on, deleting the yahoo account and re-adding it, etc.
I did not but within a couple of days it was working again. Has periodically messed up since but usually within 24 hours it works again. I think it is a yahoo problem -at least that is what the apple store told me.
