How do I Change desktop icon size

Somehow my desktop icons got huge and cannot shrink them down again. Sorry new to a Pro and to Snow Leopard too.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 13" 2.7

Usually, you would adjust the icon size by clicking on the desktop, then selecting "Show View Options" from the view menu (or command-J).

Click once on a vacant part of the desktop background, then choose "Show View Options" from the View menu. Adjust the icon size slider and grid spacing to suit yourself.
