I just got a new iMac with Lion. When I use Safari, sometimes the contents of the window zoom for no apparent reason. I have not figured out how to restore the window to its normal appearance. How do I (1) stop the zooming, and (2) restore the window?

Same thing happens to me. Drives me crazy. So far, only way I know to restore is to quit/relaunch Safari. It's not the same as a <Control> zoom because it doesn't correct by reversing that procedure. Would love to hear from anyone who knows why this happens.
If you're using the mouse, It's the double tap with one finger gesture (smart zoom). You can turn it off in System Preferences > mouse > Point & click. There is also a gesture for the trackpad.

Thank you soooo much! That was the it. Didn't realize I was inadvertently tapping twice on mouse occasionally.
You can also use Cmd-0 (as in zero) to restore regular size.
