How do I colorcorrect, crop or clean a photo in iPhoto without losing some quality when I save?

iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

You do not -- If you shoot RAW and save edits as TIFFs you will get the least quality loss - but at a GREAT peanlty of space (5 to 10 times as much disk required)


Any changes are going to reduce information and therefore quality


Cropping throws away part of the photo reducing the overall size


Not sure what "cleaning a photo is
