I had the same problem. According to the Netflix rep I talked to, there is a compatibility problem with the new version of Safari (5.1), because it uses 64 bits which is incompatible with the MS Silverlight Plug-in that Netflix uses. I don't think there is a current fix for it. I solved the problem by switching to Firefox for Netflix streaming, which Netflix recommended. Hopefully, between Apple, Microsoft, and Netflix, someone will fix the problem soon.

OK. I have since discovered that there is a fix to the problem for Safari by just downloading the latest version of the Silverlight Plug-in at: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/26623/silverlight
this was the better answer and I appreciate it, it worked! Thank you!
I installed the latest plug-in and it still won't play any streaming movies from Netflix. I'm going to just try firefox, I guess. This is ridiculous.
