I've just recently begun having trouble printing to my Artisan 810 with Lion. I removed the printer and now I am unable to add it back. The system can't find the drivers and Software Update has nothing to download.
The message refers me to the manufacturer's site and that is totally worthless.
Anyone else encounter this problem and found a solution?

Did you download/install the latest Epson driver from Software Update? I'm not on my Lion machine right now, but I believe the version was 2.7. Check your Software Update installs to see if you have the latest. And I've found that if I have the Epson on while downloading/installing the driver update, it appears to "just work" when finished (not sure that has anything to do with it, but....)

I found the 2.7 package and installed it. I still could not properly install the printer--I received a message that the software was not available.

Have you tried to uninstall the printer in the Print Pref Pane and then added it again (with the printer on and connected)? Mine only acted up once and deleting/adding it again did the job and it's been fine since.
The only thing I was missing was restarting after reinstalling the drivers. I'm now back up and printing.

Just got off the phone with Epson support on this issue.
They had me do this:
1) set up the printer via USB connector
2) delete the USB version
3) download the 10.6 driver (named "Printer Driver v8.11" as of this writing)
4) install the driver
5) Run Software update (which found an Epson driver update) and install
6) Create a new printer with a wireless connection (IP address or Bonjour).
The IP address, by the way, can be found in the printer: Home --> Setup --> Network Settings --> Confirm Network settings.
It would be helpful if Epson linked to the 10.6 driver from the Lion page wouldn't it? Instead they just say there's no driver...come back later. (!!!)
