Replacement for idvd

Hi. I have the new mba (summer 2011), 13.3, i7, 256gb ... I was at the genius bar and we could not figure out how to "burn" a dvd from imovie as apple took out idvd. The only reason i bought the opticalndrive is to burn dvds so my parents can watch movies of the grand kids. They do not have a computer and only have a dvd player. The workers on apple did not know yet if there will be a replacement for idvd or if i have to get a non oem replacement like toast? Does anyone know if a good, simple, and cheap, if possible for a idvd replacement?
