Q: Draft mail had disappeared.

I have created several emails and save them as drafts. The draft mailbox shows that there should be a couple of drafts there, but there is nothing in the preview pane. Can't locate them in any other folder (mailbox). Can anyone help me find them? Can locate them in Finder. bizarre. Seemed to happen after I created some new mailboxes to organize mail I want to save. Fairly new to Mac. Thanks...

After the Update to Sierra, I have the same problem:

I can see 2 draft mails, but there is all text content vanished.

Only an empty mail attachment (new!) is shown.

How can I restore the text of my draft?

Is there any place in finder, where I can read the content, if I restore it with time machine?

(Full time machine backup is available)

    Thanks

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.

    Try rebuilding the mailbox.

If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages        For El Capitan, try looking in V3.

Thanks. This did not bring my draft mails back.

I will now look, if I find them in my timemachine backup, when I'm back at home (should be there? ~/Library/Mail/V3)
