finder freezed

Hi,

have my xserve freezed on the finder after i tried to relaunch it, i need to restart

still have an ARD and SSH access with vpn, xserve is behind a sonicwall, all services are running obviously

shutdown command failed

is there a command line to kill command+alt+esc window ?

or something else
