I want to add the title preceeding the main movie. I will then just save it as a mov file.

Your basic work flow would be...

1) Create your title image in an appropriate graphic application like PhotoShop and save it to your hard drive in case you make a mistake later.

2) Open the image file in an QT 7 Pro Player.

3) Create or trim an audio file to the length of time you want the "title" image to play.

4) Activate the player containing the "title" imaage, select the entire clip ("Command-A") and use "Command-C" to copy the "title" to temporary memory.

5) Activate the target audio file, select the entire audio track ("Command-A") and use the "Add to selection & scale" Edit menu option to add the titie track.

6) If the audio is not to be retained, delete the audio track or extract the video track for further processing.

7) Select and copy the "title" or "title + audio" content to temporary memory. (I.e., "Command-A" and "Command-C" again.)

8) Open/activate your main movie, ensure the playhead is at the beginning of the file, and paste (Command-V") the "title" segment (with or without audio) to the main movie.

9) Use the "Save As..." File option to save the merged content to an MOV file container.

While this work flow may sound complicated at first, it only takes seconds to merge the files once the "title" image and audio timing files have been created.

Yes. The main question is whether you want to add the title preceeding or overlapping the main movie and/or whether or not there are any video compression restictions. (E.g., is the file to be iPod, iPhone, iPad, iPad2, TV, and/or TV2 compatible as this may impact your specific work flow,)
