Upgraded to Lion now Connect360 will not work

With SnowLeopard Connect360 worked flawlessly, now I have upgraded to Lion and there's no luck with streaming. Weird thing is, I can stream at other peoples house, just not mine. I have 15Mbps ATT Uverse. Just wondering if anyone has a solution to this or has come across the same problem.

Thanks for your responses in advance.

OK, so this is kind of weird. I started up my VMware Fusion which has XP installed, fired up the XBOX and everything works again. Nothing has changed, on the XBOX my computer is recognized as "Computer Name : Connect360." When I shut off the XP in Fusion I go back to the same problem as before, I'll click on my computer and the little circles to the right sit there and spin.

Someone else maybe try starting up Fusion and see if it changes anything.

For now I have to just start Fusion with XP to get the streams working.

When I get the stream working I can then shut down XP and exit out of Fusion with no problems and no effects to the stream. I am able to view and play my media from that point on. If I shut the XBOX off and turn it back on I need to restart the whole process to get it working again.

I have no idea why this is? Does anybody know why this may be?

I, again today went to stream a movie with no luck. This is very weird, but like the last time I a.)started up VMware Fusion and started my windows xp pro. b.)turned my xbox and selected my computer which is "computer name : connect360" and viola, I was able to see and play all my media content. c.) shut down the virtual machine, exited out of VMware. As long as I keep my Xbox on I'm able to go back and play anything w/o a problem.

Anyone else try this and have it work for them?

I've contacted NullRiver about this issue and I haven't received any replies from them. Apparently the version 3.55 works on Lion, but the version that's currently made available on the App Store doesn't. Note that the version on the App Store is 3.53 😟

I hope they post an update on the App Store soon so we can use it again. I had to start using a Thumbdrive to watch my movies on my Xbox...

I haven't tried it yet but Playback from Yazsoft looks like a good option. They seem to really be fighting the good fight supporting it, and have been cranking out releases, the last one being a few days ago.

I've been holding off upgrading to Lion in hopes that Null River would get its act together, but I'm going to do the upgrade and if Connect360 breaks I"ll kick it to the curb and give Playback a shot.

I'm having the same issue(s) as everyone else.

  • connect 360Version: 3.55
  • Lion: 10.7.2

I seem to be able to get it to work sometimes by stopping, starting connect360 again, then retrying to connect from xbox again and again.

I can't seem to find any connection or pattern to what makes it work. I've tried turning the firewall on and off. Tried turning access control on/off, reinstalling the app again etc.

Perhaps I've been looking at this for too long now because it seems to work more often if you're signed into xbox-live. That's probably rubbish though...but hey ho.😕
