Anyone know of a quality, 5 to 10 feet, extension cord for the iPad 2? I've tried USB extenders, and extenders for iPods and iPhones. Anyone know of a source for something like this, or do I have to make make my own? :)

So what happened when you used a 10 foot USB extension cable? Did it not work? Is this for using with your computer to sync or using with your power adapter to charge it?
Just to run from the Apple iPad plug to the iPad, charging it while accesing the internet. Im not trying to dock anything to my PC, just want a longer cable like the one they sent with it really.

That's what i'm currently doing. Was hoping for something a little less bulky, this will be used for businesses and that doesn't look very professional, for house use it's fine..
Do an internet search and see if you can find a sleeker white extension cord.
This was my first stop.
I was using a USB extension cord with my original iPad and never had a problem. When I got my iPad2 I kept using the cord but had a fatal crash that cost me a lot of unbacked-up documents. I read on a post that USB is too limited to use a longer cord, and it can cause a bad sync. I had to restore the iOS. I don't think I'll use an extension again when I sync.
The Apple iPad 10W USB Power Adapter, sold as an accessory in the Apple Store and by other vendors, has a 6-foot long cord from the power pack to the wall plug in, as well as the standard USB cable. I use this power cord at home and keep the supplied one in my travel bag. It's a heavy duty cord and will give you an extra 6 feet of reach, without using an extension cord.
I have the Griffin dock extension cable for my iPad 1. It's 10' long and worked well up to a few days ago (bought it in January). I only use it for charging. The short cable that came with my iPad don't even reach from the couch to the outlet.
It still seems to be charging but my iPad says "accessory not supported for charging". I bought it at the local Apple store and it was marked as OK for iPad but obviously my iPad doesn't think so. I sure don't think I would use it for synch.
Anyone else have this problem?
