Library Folder does not appear in Finder?

Library Folder does not appear in Finder?

I recently purchased MacGourmet. When I click on "Where is my Database" in the Help menu, I get the following path: User/Library/Application Support/MacGourmet.

However, when I try to find this going through Finder, there no "Library" folder appears in the main list under me as a user. Where do I find the library folder?

This is important because, in order to sync the MacGourmet database with my iPad, I need to be able to find the database and add it to the folder transfer on iTunes. Right now, I can't do this as there is no path for me to follow?

Anyone know how I can find this Library folder????

Go to Finder > Go > hold the option key down > Library will appear in the list.

Thanks. That worked. I also found another thread (actually a couple, seems to be a common problem after the Lion install) that also had me put a command into the Terminal utility that made it appear. Either one seems to work.

If you use the Terminal command it will only work up to the next update, then you'll have to do it again. It's better to open a finder Library window and grab the icon at the top of the window and drag it to the finder's sidebar. This shortcut will survive future updates.
