How do I sync ical on mac with calendars on ipad via bluetooth or wirelessly?

I have an ipad2 a Powermac and a mac laptop. How can I sync the calendars created in ical on the mac with the calendars created on the ipad2 via bluetooth and/or wirelessly? The bluetooth seems quite inconsistent from the ipad2 and it needs to be almost inches away from either the mac or the powerbook before they recognise the ipad, though the ipad doesn't appear to connect with them? Anyone else having issues with this?
