My hard drive disappeared

You have to provide more information than that. We aren't mind readers and we can't see your computer so you need to much more descriptive if you want any help.

I have the same problem...

the details are -

my mother gave me her Mac OS X 10.5.8 laptop

I was changing user names and passwords...

was backing up her itunes music - to send back to her - she forgot to save it to her new one

it was not working - so I had to Force Quit and then when that happened

I could not open my Finder, Trash or see a hard drive icon on my desk top -

can I fix this - but loose the music - i do not care if I loose the music -

it is updated to lion
