I am a new user. My safari screen that says google is a lite grey and stuck. I can't use safari. It is frozen. How do I de-freeze?

double click your home button and the most recently used apps will appear on the bottom row. Hold you finger on any of them until they jiggle. On each app, a - will appear. Touch the - on Safari and it will close completely.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache. Restart your iPad. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut down. To restart, hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Try Safari again.
If that doesn't work, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Try Safari again.
