Mid-2010 MBP RAM in 2011 Mac Mini
I recently picked up a new 2011 Mac Mini with 2GB of RAM. I'm thinking about upgrading to 4GB, but instead of buying 4GB, I've also got a mid-2010 Macbook Pro with 4GB of RAM. I was kicking around the idea of taking the RAM from the MBP and putting it in my Mini, and then buying 8GB of RAM for my MBP, which needed a RAM bump anyway.
I know the RAM from the MBP has a slower clock speed than that in the Mini, but other than that I think it's compatible. Does anyone know of any possible harm that might come from doing this instead of buying the RAM that's rated for the Mini?
