Lion OSX freezes the screen.

I've been getting the same issue. Where the whole computer freezes and the trackpad does as well. This usually happens when I'm on youtube. And currently ive been using Geektools and while it is on, the computer would freeze as Im browsing the web. This started happening when i got lion

I have the same problem too, brand new macbook air with os x lion, and it freezes randomly. Happens more with itunes running, or watching flash videos, but it happened without those too, it is driving me crazy. I hoped that it gets ironed out in one of the .1 .2 updates but nope...

I have had a problem with the 'black screen' freeze ever since installing Lion. It only appears to happen when either using the trackpad to access and view all available desktop screens - or to swipe between screens.

As this happens while using a variety of software programs, Mail, Aperture, Calendar, InDesign, Photoshop, I do not believe the fault is caused by a single program.

I do wish Apple would at least post some reference to the problem - even if only to let us know they are working on a solution. It is unbelievabe arrogance to stay silent in the face of so much comment.

I think Lion *****. None of my Microsoft office suit works anymore, and in order to open a .doc document I have to go through mutiple steps to do it. PLUS other third party software that worked with snow leopard now doesn't and I can't even open the programs to export the date...

The worst experience I've ever had with Apple. Maybe will have to start calling them Applesoft, or Microapple.

Updated to Lion over the weekend, and now the iMac freezes all the time. Sometimes, it's the mouse, as I get the "connection lost" icon pop up on the screen. Sometimes, the wifi just stops working and freezes (other devices also on the wifi network are fine).

My iMac was purchased in late December 2010, it's not even 1 year old yet. Was having no issues with Snow Leopard, I updated to Lion to take advantage of iCloud, etc.

This is why I left Windows...please Apple, get this fixed!

My MBA keeps freezing when trying to close iTunes and other applications. The problem started since I downloaded Lion . I need to force it to shut down.

Apple- were is the patch for this issue?

Has Tigere ever been a remedy to this problem? iMac 21.5" late 2010 OSX mountain lion.

Nothing works, keyboard frozen. Sometimes the mouse pointer appears, but mouse clicks have no effect.

Usually happens when using some video app, such as YouTube
