Q: WIFI connections stop working in lion

I am having the same issue.  I've been struggling with figuring out if it's Verizon or Lion because whenever the internet is down on my mac it's also down on my PC, but it began exactly when I upgraded to Lion.  I have yet to find an answer to this problem and have been on the phone with Verizon numerous times to try and fix the issue.  The only thing that helps is to restart my Verizon modem/router and then my internet is re-established for about 6-8 hours.  It's extremely frustrating and the only thing I have been able to find on blogs is that other people are experiencing the same problems without resolution.

If you follow other threads here, you will sadly discover that it is Lion that is causing issues. The OS seems to have some issues with wi-fi. Toggling on and off wi-fi on my imac does the trick.

I have the same problem on a Macbook Pro, WIFI close down unexpected and have to reboot.

Lion 10.7.1 is now available through Update and addresses some WiFi issues,  good luck.

Yes. 10.7.1 fixes this problem.

update your lion to 10.7.1 and do these:

1)reset smc

2)reset pram

it works well for me.i've never suffer from the wifi problem since then!

I've updated the OS to 10.7.1 and I am still experiencing the same WIFI issues as before. So it seems that the update hasn't addressed the issue completely. 

As for resetting SMC and PRAM where do I do that?
