DON'T UPDATE TO LION!

I couldn't be more unsatisfied with OS X Lion. First, problems with Safari (and sometimes I got to restart because it has some problem with Youtube), problems with Finder, my network it's completely deconfigured in comparation with my old Snow Leopard, and now the sound has gone with NO reasons. I hear the sound of the volume going up and down, but can't play Youtube and even iTunes! With all the respect, I thought Apple was different from Microsoft, but now that become this big, feels like thinks the same way.

DO NOT UPDATE TO LION! Don't waste your money with a software that have a lot of issues to get fixed.

YOU claim that this forum represents a majority of Mac (or Lion or Mini or MBP) users- that has been your major point, that because so many people post here with problems, they must be a majority of users.

And here you come back and say I have not shown statistics, when you are ignoring them.

Read my posts again. I have never claimed that this forum represents a majority of Mac owners because I don't know what the percentages are. All I have been saying is that this forum is heavily weighted in the direction of problems and I have seen no evidence to support the claims made by you and a few others that Macs are relatively problem free. Such a claim would be counterintuitive in light of the majority of the posts here.

Otherwise, I'm not ignoring your statistics per se, it's simply that they're not relevant to the argument you're trying to make. Quoting sales statistics is not relevant without knowing the actual percentage of Mac users who have experienced problems. Everything you've posted in that regard has been mere speculation.

You use vague terms like "lots" or "numerous" completely unquantifiable carrying the payload chosen by you

"There have been numerous reports regarding connectivity problems with SMB shares under Lion, and I have experienced them myself. I also have monitoring software on my Mac mini that is showing wifi connectivity problems since the Lion upgrade"

You do it often:

"A lot of people have reported wifi problems since upgrading to Lion"

You toss in choice retorts:

Mac problems are rare!

you state "That is simply not true" without reference

The difference between my setups (which work) and yours, which (at least to your satisfaction) don't is .... remind me .....

It's spin, and bad spin at that.

Those terms are consistent with my statements that I don't know what the actual statistics are. All of my impressions are based on my own experiences in conjunction with similar problem reports from other members, of which there are many. If you read through this forum yourself you might also find that to be the case. Of course, again, it's purely anecdotal.

If Macs are relatively problem free then it becomes rather difficult to explain the need for these support forums.
