i did a mac software update on my macbook pro yesterday and today when i try to watch videos on youtube they won't load and i get an error message that says "plud in failure" any idea why this is happening and how i can fix this? i have adobe cs5 installed and updated all the programs including flash but still have this problem. Just noticed everything works fine with firefox. I am using safari 5.1
I've noticed the samething. I did the software update and now I can't watch any YouTube videos. I've tryed updating all of the CS5 programs as well and I can not figure out what's going on.
Same deal for me - can't figure out what to do. I used to be able to watch videos on You Tube and now simply get a white screen, which when I click on it says 'plug in failure'. This wasn't a problem when I first got the mac so I assume there must have been something in one of the automatic updates ??? Help
Download the latest verion of Flash, and install it. It will work good as gold
I have the latest version of Flash installed and I still get plug-in failures regularly with YouTube videos.
Plus, the YouTube controls don't work properly even when the plug-in doesn't fail.
Same problem, I cant find resolution, but I dont want to reinstall whole system. Its really weird and annoying.
There seems to be an association with this Flash Failure and certian fonts installed through free font resources. A post on the Adobe site claimed that KozGo fonts need to be removed. I did so and also had to pull out all of my .otf fonts in order to resolved the Flash failure.
I did start reinstalling them and had the failure repeat so this seems to be the problem until a patch comes out...

Uninstall flash player plugin and reinstall:
got it to work at last i updated java then uninsatlled flash and installed latest flash and it worked
