Aug 30, 2011 7:39 AM in response to martin_wby tyeman83,I too am having the same problem with my mac mini. Everytime I sit down at the computer and tap the keyboard, the monitor fires up, but everything is frozen and I'm forced to do a hard reset. Any help would be appreciated, this is getting really frustrating and getting in the way of doing work.

Sep 2, 2011 6:58 AM in response to martin_wby medicaljess,This has not fixed my problem but it has helped a lot. Before I had the problem every other day, now I've been a week crash free.
I did an SMC reset and I've done a PRAM reset (because I also have the battery issue - not fixed yet btw), stopped using Chrome and started using Safari. Also, before I close the lid of my macbook, I quit my browser (ie. Safari) and start it back up after wake up.
Don't know which of the above is responsible for it, but the freezes happen way less often now.
Still waiting on an Apple fix tho. Apple, you're not off the hook yet!

Sep 3, 2011 1:15 AM in response to medicaljessby martin_w,I really start to think it's due to flash related sites. I don't use a lot of programms and still it is freezing. Chrome is our main browser. Usually also Parallels Desktop (7) is active but even when Parallels is shutdown the iMac keeps freezing.
Just like this morning. Only Chrome was active and we browsed for holidays and some other flash related sites.
Apple please fix this issue!

Sep 3, 2011 3:55 AM in response to martin_wby mikegeordie,Same problem, freezing after waking, but I felt the problem could have been mail or safari. Both became unresponsive, could quit safari but not re-open. Try to re-start and mail prevents shut-down, have to hold down power switch. Got Chrome but don't use it. Only happens on iMac, no problem with Macbook. Looking at a re-install just to clean things up.

Sep 3, 2011 7:34 AM in response to mikegeordieby YoRafael,It happens only with Imac not with the macbook. But it does not have nothing to do with saphari. It happens even if there are no applications open.

Sep 3, 2011 7:47 AM in response to LuisVallecilloby YoRafael,Well, it's time for Apple to fix this problem. I moved to apple from Windows thinking they were bug free. But this bug is really annoying!

Sep 4, 2011 1:53 AM in response to YoRafaelby hwick_ bluenose,I moved to apple for the same reason. 27" iMac. I've just turned sleep mode off. Disks still spin down, screen goes off. Can't think I'm using too much extra power but since doing this no freezes for a week. I'm keeping it in this mode until 10.7.2 is released and said to fix it.

Sep 4, 2011 2:09 PM in response to martin_wby anthony285,Have used and love Apple products for years, this is the first time Ive ever had problems with their products, what a pity to spoil a great record with a new OS that is flawed, please hurry up with an update that fixes this problem, its so annoying to have to keep restarting everytime after it goes into sleep mode.

Sep 4, 2011 4:14 PM in response to martin_wby Travisimo,Well, I can't say for sure, but I really believe it was the Logitech Control Center software update that caused my iMac lockups. Before the LCC update, my iMac was working fine with Lion. Right after the update, my iMac started locking up almost every time it would go to sleep. It would wake up, but then nothing was responsive and I had to do a reboot to get it working again.
At any rate, it's been about a week now since uninstalling LCC and I haven't had a single freeze. I have not tried installing LCC again, but nothing else has changed on my system, so I think it's safe to conclude that LCC was causing my lockups. Unfortunately, there are obviously other scenarios that are causing this problem so this probably won't help most of you.... but perhaps there's some root underlying problem?

Sep 5, 2011 1:11 PM in response to martin_wby XoticSpot,I am having the same problem. This is so annoying. Mine seems to lock up because of Time Machine. Apple Lion has successfully made me feel like I am back to using Windows.

Sep 5, 2011 1:27 PM in response to martin_wby jvdb1975,Is there already someone who applied the 10.7.1 version and how is the experience with it?
-
Sep 5, 2011 1:30 PM in response to jvdb1975by mvandekorput,I did and for me it indeed improved a lot. I still occasionally experience the freeze problem, but it is now less than once a week. So I can only recommend applying that update.

Sep 5, 2011 1:33 PM in response to martin_wby anthony285,I don't use either Time machine or Logitech, but my iMac freezes every time it goes into sleep mode, and will not recognise trackpad or Mouse all on Bluetooth, and it will not recognise Wi Fi, but all comes back on after a restart.
All this started after 10.7.1 was installed.
Come on Apple Sort it.
