New 2 day mbp, Lion OS, MEGA OVERHEATING ISSUES.

I just got my mac book a couple of days ago, upgraded to Lion cause the apple people told me to, and now im stuck with a very hot laptop that doesn't even last mere 3hrs for uni D:. My mac is practically empty, no programs what so ever beside firefox.
Is there any solutions for this issue yet?

Do not use Chrome, nor Firefox: this behaviour is not normal. It has to be solved.

First run the Activity Monitor, "all processes", click the %CPU column and look for a process that uses more than 50%. Kill that process.

Install iStatPro widget (free) which will display temperatures, fanspeed, battery, etc.

Check your Lion version: should be 10.7.1

For the moment do not worry about the battery life, use it for some weeks, several cycles, before you pay attention.

BTW: do not install antivirus apps, or "cleaners", you do not need them.
