not sure I'd say it 'works' you may need to uninstall and reinstall, and even then.
Well, it's been working for me since the beginning and from what I can tell the majority of the people who have posted on these forums. Most of the issues, even those reported on the VMware page you referenced, are minor and easily worked around. The biggest common problem seems to be having the BootCamp partition stepped on during installation - but that's not a Fusion issue, and if you don't use BootCamp it's not an issue at all.
I will say that Windows is a lot happier since I increased the memory in my MacBook to 8 GB and allocated 2 GB to the VM.
