Justify text

Hello

I´m a regular user of Iwork 08.

In Pages, in a common text, how do i justify my text like in MS Word. I will try to write an example.

MS Word - Justified text

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

sldajskd.

Pages - Justified text

sldajskdjasdkasjdaskj

s l d a j s k d j a

s l d a j s k d j a

sldajs.

How do i prevent that Pages increases the space between characters? To solve, i must decrease the space between characteres wich, it´s a lot of work in a big document!

Thanks

I'm puzzled.

I'm unable to reproduce your example.

Here I get :

Look carefully the tab stops settings.

Pages doesn't offer a powerful algorithm for full justify.

To get a better result, activate hyphenation as I did :

CAUTION : My system is set to French so it applied the hyphenation according to French rules.

Pages doesn't treat the justification by steps of one point, it insert extraneous spaces. I didn't check if it's fair enough to use the character THIN SPACE.
