I have a directory (which I am the owner and I have admin access) with the following mode string:
drwxrwxr-x@. All files in the dir have the @ appended to their mode string. This attribute modifier prevents me from altering files without entering the admin password. What is this @ and how can I get rid of it?

/bin/ls -aleO@

Very helpful. I can clear the attributes with "xattr". However my real problem is "+" at the end of the mode string, i.e.
drwxrwxr-x+
I couldn't find an explanation of this in "man ls". What is this "+" and can I clear it with chflags or chmod?
@ displays that the file or directory has extended attributes.
man lsis your friend. To manipulate extended attributes look at the help file for xattr
xattr -hTake a look at the man page description of the long format. The '+' indicates extended security settings such as an ACL.
