michellefromnew lenox,

Make sure that you are holding down the on/off/sleep/wake button for enough time. If a message with the battery and a plug, a right arrow, and a lightning bolt beneath the battery show up, it means your iPod's battery is dead (keep in mind that if your battery is REALLY low, this message may take a minute or two to pop up). If this is the case, try connecting your iPod to your computer. You should see a faint message with the battery and a lightning bolt if you press the home button. Generally within 15-30 minutes, you'll see the Apple logo, your iPod will turn on, and iTunes will pop up.

Hope this helps,

Owen C.

I had the same issue i just waited a couple of days till the battery died it didnt show how much battery i just gave it like 2 to 3 days till it drained all out plugged it up to my computer and the apple sign came up. It was probably corrupted thats why it would not do anything even after plugging it up and trying different resets. Hopefully this will help.
