Extra RAM helped with Lion

2009 21.5" iMac (10,1), with 4Gb RAM. Updated to Lion, and everything was running more slowly (FireFox, Aperture most notably). Upgraded to 12Gb with a couple of 4Gb sticks, and so far everything is much snappier. Well worth the £100 spent!
