Changing the scrolling direction for my mouse will change the scrolling direction for my trackpad

I've said a very similar thing in this thread:

The thing is that someone from Nova Scotia posted a link in that thread to "Scrollreverser", and it looks like that tool can actually de-couple mouse and trackpad scrolling.

I've sent the proprietor of the app an e-mail asking if it will also work in Lion... If the answer is yes, this might do you fine...

There is an option in the mouse options of Lion called:
'Move content in direction of finger movement when scrolling of navigating'

Yet when you unselect this (while having Scroll Direction: Natural selected) it will unselect automatically the 'Scroll Direction: Natural' option in the Trackpad settings. It seems like a bug to me as why would there be two separate options in two different locations if they're toggling the same thing and it's possible to have them both unselected.

Am I misunderstanding the meaning of the option?

No, the scrolling direction is tied to all the input devices. Must pick one direction or the other for both.

Just tested the app....

Yes, it works on Lion, and yes, it allows you to control scroll direction independently for each device. Good stuff.
