Lion freezes when screen saver kicks in

I have two machines running Lion right now - a 3+ year old MacBook Pro and a 2+ year old iMac.

The MacBook seems to run fine -- it was a clean install of Lion. The iMac was an upgrade and have noticed on two occasions that the thing has frozen up when the screen saver has kicked in. Nothing can be done other than a power cycle to get the machine back up and running.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks.

Happened again this morning on my iMac. The screen saver kicks in and the computer freezes. This is the third time it's happened since upgrading last Friday.

I'm disabling the screen saver portion and just setting the monitor to go to sleep after 30 minutes. Will see if that helps the situation.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks,

Yes i have a 3yo imac 24" and all my kids have accounts on it. Whenever the mac goes to sleep and the kids click on their account the screen goes grey and continually rotates as if its trying to log into the user's account but the grey screen just keeps going round and round. I find that if i remove the option "require password after sleep/screen saver" then the problem goes away. As soon as I tick the option "require password after sleep/screen saver" the problem comes back.
