error code -8055

When trying to create an alias on a file in a shared folder from an SL Server I get "The operation can't be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -8055). Anyone have any idea of what error code -8055 signifies? I've looked in all the usual places but can find no definition for this error code. It doesn't seem to exist in any of the tables I could find.

Thanks for any help that might be forthcoming
